Significant Others of Healthcare Workers
Welcome to the community. I created this because I am in a realtionship with someone who works at a hosptial for long shifts (12's generally) He often gets stuck working PM's (7p-7a) This is something that has taken me a long time to get used to & I still am getting used to it. :)
I know that there are a lot of healthcare jobs that require long hours (12s, 24s, 48s, etc.) I've come to realize what a special skills you need to be in a realtionship with someone who works those hours. So this is a place to talk about what works & what doesn't in your relationship, meet other people who are in the same boat as you, and any other subjects of that matter.
As stated in the introduction:
This community will be:
- a place to encourage
- a place to support
- a place to vent
- a place to meet other people
This community will not be:
- a place where you will be told to "get over it" or "let it go"
- a place to top other people off/hold a contest of whose is worst (No, "That's situation is hard, but mine is so much worse!")
I look foward to members actually joining and getting this community active! :)
